Speaker Series-Adolescent Mental Health

This month’s topic is “Child & Adolescent Mental Health”

Anxiety, stress, mood disorders, and low self- esteem are increasing concerns amongst children and adolescents. Parents and caregivers are often unsure how they can help and are often overwhelmed themselves. This presentation will demonstrate and provide resources such as cognitive behavioral therapy exercises and at home strategies to help children, adolescents, and their caregivers cope.

About this month’s presenter: Renee Winters, MSN, RNC- PC, CPNP-PC is a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner employed with Gettysburg Pediatrics. Renee is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and has over 20 years experience serving the community of Gettysburg. She has four children, multiple pets, and is actively pursuing an additional certification in pediatric mental health. Renee enjoys hiking and backpacking to maintain her own mental and physical health.

This presentation is suitable for parents and caregivers. The information is not geared toward children.
